MY STORY

I have been a very keen gardener for years, and during lockdown I developed a slight obsession with growing nostalgic cottage garden style cut flowers and arranging them in vases.

I realised not everyone has the time to sow their own. This gave me the idea to grow the flowers I love on a slightly larger scale, varieties such as sweet peas, poppies, foxgloves and dahlias and this in turn gave me the opportunity to try out many more varieties.

My informal type arrangements may have the odd wonky stem or imperfect petal but that adds to the charm. For me a beautiful arrangement is about the choice and coordination of beautifully scented blousy flowers that look wild and natural.

I offer a unique range of carefully curated cut flowers available to buy in posies, bouquets, and buckets and individual stems for florists and events. Please check out my in Instagram feed below for latest updates.

MY MISSION

Bringing home grown cut flowers to locals and offering more choice to the small independent florist. I aim to raise awareness of the magnificent choices of flowers that can be nurtured in the UK, and inspire people to buy more home grown blooms. Buying British has many benefits, not only cutting down on air miles and supporting biodiversity these blooms offer you a superior scent,  and unusual varieties that you won't find in the supermarket.

MY VISION

To create an environmentally friendly usable outdoor space filled with fresh flowers and delicate fragrances which when in a vase in your home will transport you back to fond childhood memories of flower filled gardens.

Mel is a tastemaker. Her eye for detail, design and colour is enviable and her ability to create stunning showstoppers is seemingly effortless. Her considered forward planning makes for originality in the gardens well as in the vase, and I always look forward to seeing what she is going to produce next.
